Culture and Life
This course combines tuition in 'thinking skills', law, and politics. In practice, it is often difficult to seperate these subjects, and each subject compliments the other. For example, philosophy addresses ethical issues like why we should keep our promises, and this ties in well with ideas underpinning contract law, as well as (in politics) social contract theory - that is, if we have made a promise to the State to vote, behave well and so forth, they must keep their promise to protect us and provide hospitals and schools.
This is stimulating for children who show a great deal of interest in issues like 'fairness'.
